Yandex Education and Tomsk Polytechnic launch free computer vision bootcamp
Yandex Education and Tomsk Polytechnic University are running a free two-week intensive on computer vision and research from August 10–23, with travel and housing covered for accepted students. Applications close June 14.

Yandex Education and Tomsk Polytechnic University are launching a two-week computer vision bootcamp this August. The intensive runs August 10–23 on the TPU campus in Tomsk, focusing on real-world CV tasks and research data. Participation is free; Yandex Education covers travel and accommodation for all accepted participants. Applications close June 14.
The program targets students with foundations in linear algebra, probability theory, statistics, Python, and basic ML/CV libraries.
What stands out
- 01Industry and research problems spanning robotics, medicine, and automation — participants work on tasks pulled from actual deployments and academic datasets.
- 02Modern CV stack from deep learning architectures to multi-agent systems built on vision-language models (VLMs). The curriculum emphasizes production-ready tooling alongside research techniques.
- 03Project work on research data. Each participant develops an independent project using datasets from TPU labs or partner organizations.
- 04Lectures and code reviews led by Yandex engineers and TPU researchers. Sessions cover architecture choices, training pipelines, and debugging strategies for vision models.
- 05Networking with ML practitioners and students from across Russia. The two-week format creates space for collaboration beyond the structured curriculum.
