OpenAI frontier models and Codex now available on AWS Marketplace
OpenAI's GPT-4, GPT-4o, and Codex are now generally available through AWS, letting enterprises access the models via existing AWS infrastructure, IAM roles, and procurement workflows.

OpenAI's frontier models and Codex are now generally available on AWS, giving enterprises a new deployment path through AWS environments, controls, and procurement workflows. Customers can access GPT-4, GPT-4o, and Codex directly from their AWS accounts, using the same IAM roles, VPC configurations, and cost centers they apply to other AWS services.
The offering targets enterprises that prefer AWS-native tooling for compliance, billing, and access management. For organizations with existing AWS Enterprise Agreements or committed spend, OpenAI usage can now count toward those contracts rather than requiring separate vendor relationships. The integration closes a gap for teams that want a unified procurement surface without routing requests through separate OpenAI accounts.
Codex, OpenAI's code-generation model that powers GitHub Copilot, is included in the AWS offering. That gives enterprises building internal developer tools a path to integrate code completion capabilities without routing requests through GitHub's infrastructure. AWS customers can access the models immediately through AWS Marketplace and direct API channels within their existing AWS accounts.
