Acti keyboard embeds AI agents across iOS and Android without app-switching
Startup Acti ships a cross-platform keyboard that lets users build natural-language AI shortcuts, routing tasks to agents without leaving the typing surface.
Acti, a startup betting the keyboard is the next home for AI assistants, released a new keyboard for iOS and Android this week that embeds custom AI-powered shortcuts directly into the typing surface. The keyboard works across apps and lets users create shortcuts using natural language — type a command, and the keyboard routes the task to an AI agent without opening a separate app or switching contexts.
The product targets users who want AI help mid-conversation or mid-draft but don't want to leave the keyboard to open ChatGPT, Claude, or a standalone assistant. Shortcuts can trigger web searches, draft replies, summarize pasted text, or call external APIs. Users define shortcuts in plain English rather than learning a scripting language or navigating menus, lowering the barrier to custom automation.
