Avito launches first 12-month Data Science Bootcamp with middle-engineer pathway
Russian classifieds giant Avito opened applications for a 12-month bootcamp that trains junior data scientists to middle-level roles through real product work on recommendation systems and LLMs.
Avito is running its first year-long Data Science Bootcamp, a program designed to take interns from entry level to middle DS engineer through hands-on work with the company's production systems. Applications close July 9, 2026.
Participants choose between two tracks: classical ML (recommendation engines, ad ranking, full-cycle model deployment) or NLP and LLM (AI assistants, search improvements, large language model applications). Both tracks involve building on Avito's live infrastructure, with mentor support and a cohort community. The program culminates in a technical interview against Avito's internal competency matrix; passing candidates qualify for continued employment.
Eligibility spans second- through fourth-year undergraduates, fourth- or fifth-year specialist-degree students, first- or second-year master's students, and recent graduates in technical, mathematical, or IT fields. Remote participation is available from anywhere in Russia, with optional on-site placement at one of five Avito offices.
