What format and resolution do YouTube downloads come in?+
Downloads are standard MP4 (H.264) that play on any device. We surface the highest single-file (muxed video + audio) quality available — often 360p–1080p depending on the video.
Why does a YouTube video sometimes fail to download?+
YouTube changes its delivery format frequently and rate-limits automated access, so a video may occasionally fail to resolve. Wait a minute and try again — it usually works on a retry.
Can I convert a YouTube video to MP3?+
Not yet. The tool currently saves the full video as MP4, not audio-only MP3. You can download the MP4 and extract the audio with any free converter.
